QUALITY ASSURANCE LEVELS

Moeller Design and Development offers a range of Quality Assurance inspection levels to insure that each job meets the quality necessary for the application, yet remains cost effective. Customer documentation is required as noted below.

LEVEL 1 (typical for SLA parts)

  1. Check SLA extent and/or critical dimensions and features.
  2. Complete cosmetic inspection of all parts prior to shipping.
  3. Dimensions taken from customer data file at the discretion of Moeller Design & Development.

LEVEL 2 (typical for SLA or QuickCast patterns and prototype cast urethane assemblies)

  1. Check master Pattern extent and/or critical dimensions and features.
  2. Check extent and/or critical dimensions of first article cast part.
  3. Check all parts for fit and function.
  4. Complete cosmetic inspection of all parts prior to shipping.
  5. Dimensions taken from customer data file at the discretion of Moeller Design & Development.

LEVEL 3 (typical for Quick Cast patterns and critical low volume or production cast urethane assemblies)

  1. Customer to provide documentation of critical dimensions.
  2. Check Master pattern extent and/or critical dimensions and features.
  3. Internal first article report.
  4. Inspect all fixtures for proper function, date, job number, and tool maker ID.
  5. Check all parts for fit and function.
  6. Inspect extent and/or critical dimensions for 10% of shipping lot.
  7. Complete cosmetic inspection of all parts prior to shipping.

LEVEL 4 (typical for any production environments requiring ISO 9000 compliance)

  1. Engineering drawing package and inspection criteria to be supplied by customer.
  2. Complete first article report for Master Pattern.
  3. Inspect all fixtures for proper function, date, job number, and tool maker ID.
  4. In process inspection for critical dimensions on 100% of parts shipped.
  5. Check all parts for fit and function.
  6. Complete external first article report.
  7. Complete cosmetic inspection of all parts prior to shipping.
