What is Rapid Prototyping?
Natural Polymer
Polymer found normally in nature; not man-made.
NanoForm
NanoFOrm (manufactured by DSM Somos) is a nonparticle filled
liquid material that produces strong, stiff, high temperatureresistant,
composite parts on conventional stereolithography machines.

NanoTool
NanoTool is a DSM Somos line of reinforced composite materials
for conventional stereolithography (SL). In 2003, ProtoTool(tm)
20L delivered novel capabilities to the RP market including
stiffness up to 300% higher than unfilled resins, ultra low
shrinkage and standard-setting thermal properties. In 2004,
NanoForm(tm) 15120 provided the SL industry with the first
100% nano-filled material, offering enhanced stiffness and
accuracy with the processing ease of unfilled resins.
Non-woven
Non-woven, solid, flat sheet consisting of bundled glass filaments
or glass staple fibers (surfacing mat).
NURBS
Non-Uniform Rational B-Splin A mathematical definition for
a surface element used in CAD modeling.
Nylon
The generic name for all synthetic fiber-forming polyamides;
they can be formed into monofilaments and yarns characterized
by great toughness, strength and elasticity, high melting
point, and good resistance to water and chemicals. A class
of thermoplastic polyamides which when molten can be extruded
or formed into tough strong elastic fibers and sheets having
a desired cross section by forcing through a die.
